A deli meat processing company was working towards automating their portioning process to help mitigate workforce costs and reduce worker dependency while also decreasing the amount of repetitive motion injuries.
An in-plant equipment demonstration with Marlen’s OptiServ 340 servo-driven twin piston vacuum pump was conducted to verify performance, portion accuracy and to validate throughout capacity.
The automated process resulted in the use of three employees versus hand-filling which required seven employees.
