Marlen International, Inc. [“Marlen”] announces the addition of Ashley Collins as a food and meat scientist, to its Solution Center applications team. A 2014 Meat Industry Suppliers’ Association (MISA) scholarship recipient and graduate from Kansas State University’s Master degree program of Food and Meat Science, Ashley will be responsible for providing product and process solutions support to food and meat processors sourcing Marlen and Carruthers food processing equipment.
Marlen’s senior vice president of global sales and marketing, Jan Erik Kuhlmann stated, “Marlen has invested considerable capital in its world-class 4,000-sq. ft. Solution Center and Development Facility in which pumping, portioning, filling, size reduction, and thermal processing solutions are tested by the world’s leading food processors.
Kuhlmann continued, “Ashley rounds out our highly experienced team of application and product specialists who allow Marlen to provide a solid environment for the development and testing of new products and processing methods.
